So Very Close

Ah, good news.  After the contribution of a VERY generous European gentleman, who would like to remain nameless, the kickstarter is $81 from success.  That is all.  I also received another donation this morning from a 24th backer.  This is 25 in all.

One thing; in his email to me, he added that he "abhored" the captioned photos.  I understand.  The numbers do very well though, and for the most part people don't comment on anything I write between Thursday and Sunday, anyway.

I've spoken to the manufacturer of the binding I need to complete the menus; the image and printing has been confirmed a week now.  I told the company to go ahead and print the menus for me; I expect to have them in my hand come the first week of November.  I will then mail them out to those who deserve them through the Kickstarter forthwith, the moment they arrive, and I will start taking orders come mid-November.  In time for Christmas, if anyone's interested.

UPDATE.  We're there.  Thank you everyone.

  3. I can't imagine I am the first to notice this, but there's some kind of typo visible on the preview screen for the video link on the kick starter. That is to say, the splash image that we see before clickin play.

The entry for "hopped ale" under TAP ends with "served in a one-pint short stein one pint".

  4. No, no one else has noticed it, including five editors who have looked at the page.

This sort of thing happens in publishing. It's damned infuriating, but I've seen it a hundred times - even in examples like Shakespeare, copies of the American Constitution and versions of the Bible. Rest assured the error will be expunged before anyone sees it. The menu folders are ordered but the actual sheets haven't been yet.
