There Will Still Be Infrastructure Maps

Just updating this post because I think Astrakhan looks prettier than Archangel.

Some people asked about infrastructure maps.  I plan to make them look like this:

And here's Archangel that I posted earlier (wiki link):

Changed the display to soft visual numbers and a key for the type of vegetation.  Different from my early practice - much prettier.  Detailed views are best seen by following the links above.

  1. Yay, Infrastructure !

So, the infra number is the white number on the top-right corner of the hex.
But what is the little black number in the bottom-right corner ? Elevation, humidity, savage life, something else ?

So, salt marshes and desert shrub are devoid of all Infra. I thought "badlands" had an Infra divisor (like steep hills, reducing greatly but not nullifying Infra) - is that still true and those are special cases ?

Anyway ... Nice to see this subject back :D .

  2. The black number is the elevation in feet. Infra is reduced by elevations of 400 feet or more and distance (thus the empty west portion on the top map, too far from Astrakhan). Badlands themselves do not reduce infra; there's still resources in a badlands that can be exploited.
