Campaign: the North Gate and Apple Orchard

There is not much to say regarding Delfig and Kazimir, who wait outside of town. For all intents and purposes we may assume that it is mid-day, and this post is opened to allow them to message their actions.

  1. (Thanks Alexis - I'm waiting for Kazimir to investigate what is going on with the 30 guards at the gate before we decide what to do next.)

  2. Kazimir will slowly approach the guards, doing his best to look confused. He will approach until the guards tell him to stop or assume a threatening stance.

  3. Kazimir,

The guards will: "Ho there. Be known the city of Dachau has been placed under martial law and entrance is not permitted."

  4. Kazimir will say "Good sir, what is the cause of this martial law? I have walked the streets of Dachau recently and the streets seemed untroubled!"

  5. The guard: "A gang of murderers, sir, and rumors that deeper matters are afoot. It is said the gates will be opened at noon tomorrow."

  6. Kazimir will nod and go find Delfig.

(OOC- Delfig informed me that if he doesn't post this afternoon, it can be assumed that Delfig and Kazimir go find the cotters.)

  7. (OOC - Pay system implementations just bring out the best in everyone. I was yelled at for being early to a meeting. Anyway...)

Delfig is stunned by the news and fingers a recent wound on his arm absent-mindedly.

"Well, I suppose we might try the cotters I met recently. They may know more than some simple guards with orders. Or not. Either way, we shouldn't be loafing about around the woods."

I'll led Kazimir in the direction that I remember the cotters to live in.

(SOI - since I'm going to either be in a meeting for awhile or waiting to be summoned - I'll talk to the cotters, if they're not working and if they're able to talk during the working hours, about what they know is going on. I will tell them that I've heard news that a silversmith living outside of Dachau was harassed by thugs. (Heh) I'll tell them that I've heard that much is happening that seems to be out of control, and it seems centered on the merchants and Herr Mizer in particular. I'll also play for them if it's an appropriate thing to do, and offer them some of my rations as part of their meal, when it's mealtime. Delfig will ask if he and Kazimir can stay/sleep somewhere indoors for the night, offering his own back/arms to help work or entertain in exchange. Whew. Now I get to go back to PoliticalSnakeNest, aka Managers meeting)

  8. I have an idea about the cotters, so I think with Delfig being generally unavailable, we'll try to pick that up tomorrow.

This is the nature of on-line running. Most days will be spent just getting a few tiny things done, with everything to be left until next time.

    Delfig,

For the moment, assume you don't get the chance to tell the cotters all that you've written above; I'll assume this is what you intend to tell them.

    Kazimir,

I will be checking my site all day, so if there is anything else you wish to add, don't hesitate.

  9. (Alexis - that's cool. Tomorrow will be much less/more stressed, depending on if I kill my programming team today. Consider me on hold. Have a good evening!)
